Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW)

Organizational Mandate: Responsible for stewarding the public realm, ensuring public safety and maintaining accountability to residents, guests and the business community.

About Us: The Resort Municipality of Whistler is the local government which provides municipal services such as fire rescue, bylaw, business & liquor licences, law enforcement through the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, communications, resort operations, climate action stratergies, recreation & cultural programming, public library services and resident housing initiatives. The RMOW also legislate and enforce land use and development and maintain all municipal property including Whistler Village. The RMOW develops and maintains community infrastructure including water, sewer, waste treatment, roads, flood protection, solid waste, cemetery, village, parks, trails, recreation facilities and community centres.

Event Support: Municipal Services, Operational Support, Permits & Licences, In-resort Communications. Venues = Whistler Village, Parks, Fields, Trails, Municipal Indoor Facilities.

Whistler Blackcomb (WB)

Organizational Mandate: Creating the best mountain experience for its customers.

About Us: Whistler Blackcomb, the official alpine skiing venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, is situated in the Resort Municipality of Whistler located in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia 125 kilometres (78 miles) from Vancouver, British Columbia. North America’s premier four season mountain resort, Whistler and Blackcomb are two side-by-side mountains which combined offer over 200 marked runs, over 8,000 acres of terrain, 16 alpine bowls, three glaciers, receives on average over 1,090 centimetres (430 inches) of snow annually, and one of the longest ski seasons in North America. In the summer, Whistler Blackcomb offers a variety of activities, including hiking and biking trails, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, and sightseeing on the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola.

Tourism Whistler (TW)

Organizational Mandate: Market and sell Whistler to the world as the year-round mountain resort of choice.

About Us: Tourism Whistler is the official marketing organization for Whistler, British Columbia Canada. Tourism Whistler (legally known as the Whistler Resort Association) is a not-for-profit organization representing more than 7000 members who own, manage or carry on business on Resort lands in Whistler, British Columbia. Tourism Whistler was formed in 1979 to market and promote Whistler for the benefit of all its members. Tourism Whistler is responsible for developing coordinated strategies in the areas of marketing and sales to promote the entire Resort. This responsibility includes the operation of the Whistler Conference Centre, the Whistler Golf Club and the Whistler Information Centre.

Event Support: Marketing, Media, Visitor Services & Research Support, Consumer Packaging and Sales, Venues = Whistler Conference Centre, Whistler Golf Club.

Arts Whistler

Organizational Mandate: To enrich Whistler by cultivating and celebrating artistic creativity, collaborating with stakeholders and engaging residents and visitors in arts, culture and heritage.

About Us: Arts Whistler is the leading arts and culture organizaton in Whistler, dedicated to making creativity an integral part of the Whistler experience. Arts Whistler program, promote, and advocate for the arts while supporting local artists and providing residents and visitors with bold, inspiring, and engaging artistic experiences. Working closely with community cultural partners and the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW), Arts Whistler operates the Maury Young Arts Centre on behalf of the RMOW. Established in 1982, Arts Whistler is a registered charity committed to enriching Whistler through the arts.

Event Support: Resource for arts & culture talent, Event Production Expertise. Venues = Maury Young Arts Centre.

Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre (SLCC)

Organizational Mandate: Uplift the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Líl̓wat7úl people, with pride and visibility on their land.

About Us: The Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) is the heart of Whistler's authentic Indigenious experience, celebrating the living cultures of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish Nation) and Líl̓wat7úl (Lil'wat Nation) - the original stewards of the unceded shared territory on which Whistler stands. As a world-class First Nations Museum and Gallery, the SLCC showcases Indigenious carving, weaving, art and storytelling that reflect the deep traditions and living cultures of the region. The SLCC's Cultural Ambassadors hold the unique and powerful ability to open events throughout Whistler with a traditional welcome ceremony and cultural sharing, as well as sharing knowledge through song and storytelling on guided tours - creating an authentic and meaningful connection to the land and its original peoples. The SLCC is also a distinctive and authentic Indigenious events venue featuring architecturally inspired spaces such as the Great Hall, Istken Hall and Longhouse along with the Salish Stroll connecting storytelling to the land. The centre hosts private events and offers in-house catering for community gatherings, corporate meetings, receptions and wedding celebrations and provides cultural education, programming, artwork expertise and performances that bring Indigenious culture to life for residents and guests alike. The SLCC is a non-profit registered charity (The Spo7ez Cultural Centre and Community Society.), an Indigenious-owned organization and employes over 90% Indigenious Ambassadors. All proceeds support Indigenious employment, training opportunities such as the Indigenious Youth Ambassador (IYA) Program and ongoing cultural revitalization for both Nations.

Event Support: Traditional welcome ceremonies, cultural sharing and performances, educational programming expertise and an authentic Indigenious venue with in-house catering. Venues = Great Hall, Istken Hall, Lomnghouse, Theatre, Cafe, Galleries.

Whistler Sport Legacies (WSL)

Organizational Mandate: To create a sustainable Olympic playground that inspires sport excellence and drives community, economic and social benefits.

About Us: Whistler Sport Legacies (WSL) is Responsible for three of 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Venues: The Whistler Sliding Centre, Whistler Olympic Park, and the Whistler Athletes' Centre. WSL provides athletes with an opportunity to discover, develop, and excel in their chosen sport and host competitions at all levels. WSL encourages a healthy lifestyle by developing programs that encourage participation in sports at a recreation. WSL's venues host local, regional, national, and international competition annually. These events facilitate the growth of sport in Canada, develop high performance athletes, and generate economic impact and media attention for the region.

Event Support: Venues and Services = Nordic skiing, biathlon, ski jump, ski lift, sliding centre, athlete's lodge, indoor high performance training facility, operational support, marketing support.

Whistler Chamber of Commerce (WCC)

Organizational Mandate: Maximize success for all businesses in Whistler by providing support, resources and tools.

About Us: The Whistler Chamber is a welcoming not-for-profit, member-driven organization that improves the effectiveness of doing business. With over 700 Members, we serve hundreds of businesses within the community.

Whether to emerging entrepreneurs, small and mid-sized businesses, or to the largest corporations, the Whistler Chamber provides its Members with the support they need to set up, maintain and continue to grow their business success.

Through innovative programs, cost-saving business services and education, we act as a catalyst for business growth, connections, partnerships, and for a diverse business community. We are the steward of the resort wide customer service solution, The Whistler Experience which has trained over 30,000 people since 2014.

Event Support: Marketing & Communication Support (weekly eNewsletter, social media stories), training for team members and leaders. Venues = Boardroom rental for meetings or events (up to 25 people).
